Missions and Outreach
Missions & Outreach at our church is an integral part of our community. We are committed to serving those around us and around the world through prayer, financial support, and hands-on service. We strive to provide spiritual, physical, and emotional aid to those in need. Our team works to bring the love of Christ to our neighbors near and far, and through our efforts, we are able to make a difference in the lives of many. Join us as we spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and extend God’s love to all.
White Rock Center of Hope
White Rock Center of Hope offers a variety of services to those in need in the community. Volunteers are needed to work in the thrift store, interview clients, be an intake worker, stock the pantry, sort clothing, help clients select clothing, and donate non-perishable food items and monies.
The Stewpot
We serve meals at the Stewpot, a ministry of First Presbyterian Church of Dallas, twice a month. The Stewpot offers a safe haven for homeless and at-risk individuals of Dallas, providing resources for basic survival needs, as well as opportunities to start a new life.
Presbyterian Children, Youth, and Families
We support two different organizations providing a range of services for children and their families in need: Presbyterian Children's Homes and Services, and Cumberland Youth and Family Services
Benevolence Fund /
Gifford Fund
The Gifford Fund is a special service of missions & outreach that offers assistance to those in need. This benevolence fund helps members and non - members of LHPC who have encountered unexpected hardships, such as hunger, lack of transportation, job loss, or difficulty paying utilities. With this fund, we are able to provide much-needed help and support to our community.
Green Team
The LHPC Green Team is a group of volunteers who come together to educate, inspire and empower church members and staff around sustainability.
In addition to projects around our church we host an annual community recycle/shred event in May and semi-annual lake cleanups at White Rock Lake. More details here.
Meals on Wheels
Church volunteers deliver meals and some friendly words to those in need on a regular schedule.
