Fall Green Tip
Got leaves? Leaving some on your yard is good for it! Leaves help fertilize your grass and other plants, provide shelter for animals and even reduce emissions from landfills. You can rake some into your flower beds to use as mulch or convert them into rich soil by composting.
Please do NOT blow or sweep leaves onto paved areas like the street or alleys, as it can cause storm drains to back up. And leaves in streams and rivers can affect water quality and harm wildlife.
See the City of Dallas flyer for more details.
Thanks to everyone who helped with the lake cleanup on Oct. 14th!
