Canned Food Drive

The Youth and Children will be taking part in the Souper Bowl of Caring by collecting canned goods for White Rock Center of Hope.

In 1990, Souper Bowl of Caring began with a simple prayer from a single youth group:

“Lord, even as we enjoy the Super Bowl football game, help us be mindful of those without a bowl of soup to eat.”

Since then, more than $170 million has been generated for local charities across the country through the Souper Bowl of Caring. It has become a powerful movement that transforms the time around the Big Game into the nation’s largest celebration of giving and caring for those in need.

How Can you help? The Youth and Kids will be collecting canned goods before worship on the first two Sundays which are February 6th and 13th. We ask that you bring the following items –

  • Canned Meals such as Ravioli, Beefaroni, Spaghetti-o’s
  • Canned Fruit Canned Soup –

*pop-top cans on any or all of these are especially helpful.
