LHPC Sunday School Survey

The Christian Education Committee has submitted a recommendation to the Session to revitalize our current Sunday School offerings that will create more value and participation from the congregation. The committee feels that it is time to take Sunday School in a new direction by moving it from its traditional time associated with worship to a Sunday night offering. This Sunday night program would include classes for children, youth, and adults, along with a meal. Our hope is to provide a time of spiritual connection and community that we are not seeing with the traditional Sunday school model at our church.

Advent Devotionals

The Christian Education Committee is excited to offer Advent Devotions.  Beginning with the first Sunday in Advent, this daily devotional follows the Christmas story through Epiphany. Each day offers something new: commentary, poetry, visual art, hymns, journaling and recipes to cook as a Sabbath practice. The devotional features biblical commentary by our guest writer, Dr. Christine J. Hong, and art and reflections by our guest artist, Carmelle Beaugelin.
