“Becoming a Caring Church in a Post-Pandemic World”

What does Christ’s church look like, post-COVID?

Please join us for a light lunch on Sunday, February 19th from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. as we continue to consider what the Post COVID church is called to be, LHPC’s vision to live into that call from the perspective of inside the walls, and how YOU might help through the newly formed Connections Ministry, an important part of the Congregational Care Committee.  This ministry will assist with pastoral care by staying in touch with each LHPC congregant through care, love, compassion and prayer.

The Rev. Ellen Pendergrass Dittman, Assoc. Pastor of Care and Connections at Canyon Creek Presbyterian Church, will lead us through this important time exploration and growth.  We invite everyone to join us.

The Rev. Ellen Pendergrass Dittman grew up in Lake Park Cumberland Presbyterian church, so LHPC is close to her heart!  After a 20 year career as a chemical engineer, Ellen and her husband Tom returned to Dallas to run the family business, Palm Springs Pool Service.   She then went to Perkins Theological Seminary, was ordained as a PCUSA pastor in 2013 and now serves at Canyon Creek Presbyterian Church in Richardson as Associate Pastor of Care and Connections.  She is happy to return to LHPC to share her passion for this ministry in this time, when relational ministry is more vital than ever to the post-pandemic Church.  Ellen is proud mom of 2 boys and their wives, and 4 grandkids.
