Blended Worship
Mark your calendars for May 11th and join us at 10:00 a.m. for a Blended Service. We will not be having a potluck lunch after this service so you'll have the afternoon free to do things with your families, work in the yard, or catch a movie!

Kids Safety Fair
Dallas Police Department Northeast Division "Kids Safety Fair"
Saturday, May 17, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
LHPC will be participating this year in this event for the first time and we need your help! We will have a booth with information about the church and its programs, as well as handing out "FREE" water bottles. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to develop a relationship with the staff at the Northeast Station and to reach out to our neighbors in the community.
Volunteers are needed (kids are welcome) to staff the booth for one or two hour shifts and/or help the police run the "Bike Rodeo."
Contact Missy Rodgers to sign up, 214-902-9935 or missyro@earthlink.net

Pancake Breakfast has a new Mission in May
Men's Fellowship will begin summer break this month from 2nd Sunday Breakfast duties. We appreciate all the hard work they do to help send children and youth of LHPC to camp and we look forward to the Fall when the 2nd Sunday Breakfasts return!
However, the month of May will not be without a Pancake Breakfast! One of our own Troop 435 Scouts, Steven Bell, will be hosting a breakfast on Sunday, May 18, from 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. All donations received for this breakfast will go to support his Eagle Scout project. Steven hopes to complete his project and receive his eagle ranking this summer. Please come out and help support our Scouts!

Praise on High – Musician’s Needed
Our highly successful 9AM Praise on High service is looking to expand the Praise Team. Specifically, we are in need of a new drummer (Jake will soon be leaving the metroplex) and a bass guitar player. If you know of any candidates for these positions, please contact Peyton Strouth, worship leader, Peyton Strouth.
What kind of folks are we looking for? The POH team is looking for individuals who place an emphasis on serving God thru this service as a first priority. Skill levels can be developed, however, dedication to the service is a must, and a familiarity with contemporary Christian music is desired but not required. POH rehearses on Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings, as well as a few occasional special events throughout the year. A small financial compensation is allowable if necessary. Placement in the band is by audition and interview.
Once again, please forward any leads to Peyton, so that we can continue to grow the Praise on High ministry!
C. Peyton Strouth
Director of Music and Contemporary Worship
