John Burkwall is an organist and audio engineer who comes to Texas via Michigan and Illinois. He has a Bachelor of Music in Performing Arts and Technology (1999) and a Master of Music in Organ Performance (2001) both from the University of Michigan. He has also recently been certified as an Audio Engineer for both recording and TV/Film post-production.
John has been studying the organ since 1985, and also played the cello for 11 years. He has studied under various illustrious teachers such as Robert Murphy, James Kibbie and Jesse Eschbach. He also has received the Presidential Scholar of the Arts in 1993 for his work on the organ.
