Lake Highlands Presbyterian Church is a very special place In 1997 three long standing Dallas Presbyterian congregations came together in a unique Union Congregation, combining over 200 years of ministry, and forming one church. The lay leaders and clergy knew that by working together, they could provide a stronger faith community, offer more varied programs, and provide many more opportunities for worship for the Lake Highlands area.
It took almost three years of exploration, study, and prayer to accomplish the dream. In January of 1999, the dream was a reality. Three congregations had merged into one and Lake Highlands Presbyterian Church, a Union of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Presbyterian Church USA was born.
The merger of the three churches explains much about the current church, LHPC. It is a made up of people who are caring, flexible, accepting, creative, forward thinking, while also embracing our proud rich heritage and deep roots in the Lake Highlands community.
Our focus is on the future and how best we can live out OUR VISION:
“Serving God Together by
Reaching Out, Loving, Caring and
Inspiring Spiritual and Personal Growth”
