At LHPC there are various options for lifetime learning!

Bible Study

Each year, the pastor conducts two or three evening Bible studies, ranging from 6 to 12 weeks in length.  Some classes also meet during the daytime.

Small groups of Presbyterian men and women each hold their own Bible studies throughout the year.

Special Educational Events

Once or twice a year, LHPC hosts special learning events open to the community.  Recent topics have included Dave Ramsay’s Financial Peace University, as well as a continuing parenting program focused on raising healthy children.

Adult Sunday School

Classes meet at 9:55 a.m. each Sunday to foster sharing and lively dialogue.  Under the leadership of caring, dedicated leaders, these classes offer practical application of Christian principles in today's society.

  • Reflections- Studies Theological/Biblical topics: This class studies many different books throughout the year with lively discussion on how these books effect and can help us on our personal faith journey.
  • Horizons- Studies The Present Word: This popular adult curriculum continues the rich and long tradition of adult Bible discovery.  Relevant, thought-provoking and stimulating, the quarterly Student's Book includes a Scripture reading for the lesson, study materials with reflection questions throughout, and a prayer at the conclusion of each lesson.  Daily Bible readings and assignments for the next lesson allow the learner to do some study and meditation at home.
  • Searchers - Studies topical books and Biblical studies throughout the year.
  • FaithWorks - This multi-age class offers free floating discussion based on current events or recent sermon topics and how they affect our Christian life.  Nothing is “off the table” for discussion.  Weekly discussion topic variety allows first time visitors to easily join the class and understand or contribute to the lively discussion.  All are welcome!
